The Day Honor Died

Did you know the navy changed their core values??? how does one go about changing their core values? all of a sudden honor is no longer important. are they implying that morals are now no longer necessary is today's society? well, in today's navy I suppose. I guess not, as now it is Courage, Commitment, and Teamwork. When wasn't it about teamwork? it isn't like one person can move a ship. did people (sailors) forget this and some washington big wig felt the need to remind them? is this in response to time magazine naming the person of the year as "you" and the navy feeling the need to remind the "me" generation that is really all about "us/we"?

What's next? are the marines going to drop country from their God, Core, Country, Family thing or whatever it is? Maybe this is all in response to the Army of one campaign. The Army is feeding into the me generation, whereas the Navy feels the need to distance themselves from those morons and then state the obvious.

What a sad day when honor is no longer part of our navy.

Without honor the other core values are meaningless. Any crook can be courageous. People can be committed to accomplishing all sorts of dishonorable things. Sad reflection on today's Navy "leadership."

Good first post. Keep writing.
